First of all the positive: the breakfast was good and the location is great. Unfortunately it wasn't clean, the shared bathroom was obviously not cleaned regularly. The room was very dusty and cobwebs were hanging from the ceiling. We didn't feel safe either, because a cable with wire was hanging from the wall. And wires peek out of the lamp. The ambience was basically quite nice, unfortunately not particularly well-kept. I wouldn't go again. The price-performance ratio wasn't right at all.
We had booked a double room and a single room and had to share the bathroom with other guests during the Corona period. The bathroom itself was ok, not from the 80s, but just ok for the price. The rooms are nice but too small for the price. The breakfast is really tasty. All in all that's ok, but for 175 € for a double room and 159 € for a single room just not justified. We're really not the luxury vacationers and for a lower price we wouldn't say anything either, but that was out of proportion
Wow, a really atmospheric atmosphere - both the very nice, rustic ambience and the super friendly people behind it! Thank you!
Great place to stay! Booked as the start of our crossing of the Alps, the accommodation "To the happy cow" was an absolute hit. Great ambience, super friendly staff & a great breakfast to start an unforgettable week! Absolute recommendation, gladly again and again!
Simple pension, more like a hut, suitable for short stays, it scores with its good location, but is too expensive for what is on offer.
Very nice, cow-full house. Room No. 8 is very nice and spacious with a balcony where no sun shines in the evening. Breakfast very good and the staff (Akbar) very courteous, friendly and committed.
To make it short: Absolutely TOP! Great rooms, no run-of-the-mill copies, great attention to detail, above-average service, high hospitality, plenty of space for individual requests! More is not possible. Simply Kuuhl;)! The rooms are in very good condition - many small, loving details down to the last corner. Very (!) Comfortable mattresses - haven't slept so well outside for a long time. Everything tip-top clean. The whole house is an absolute refreshment in the whole hotel jungle - here you feel "at home" and can arrive, a feeling that you rarely get. About the location: less than a 5-minute walk to the ski jump and to the Kartenbachtobel as well as the Oytalwanderweg and to the other direction to the town center. TOP starting point for all kinds of activities. For breakfast: Everything is there, everything is fresh, regional dishes, fresh eggs on request, great coffee (regional roastery), delicious rolls - what more do you want? About the house: simply has everything you need. Retreat options as well as a large "playground" with bowling alley & CO to let off steam - a great outside area with its own "beach" and lots of seating. Most of the rooms look out over the great mountain landscape of the Allgäu Alps. Parking spaces in front of the house. To the host: Dear Arne (and dear Anita) - warm and huge thank you for such a pleasant stay! I have rarely seen that in this form. See you soon and from the heart, everything "cowed"!
Incredibly warm atmosphere, super nice host, rich breakfast with great attention to detail. So perfect for a break from everyday life!
Super great and detailed, cozy decor. Very warm atmosphere and many nice amenities
It's a shame if you try to compensate for the lull of the year over bratwurst from the gas grill (four euros), mulled beer from the hardware store cone (0.3 / five euros) and mediocre mulled wine (four euros) at the start of the ski jumping tour .... 👎 🏼
Insider tip👍🐄 Anyone looking for something else to stay overnight🛌. It is just right🛀, no Sterilles Hotel🏨 and no simple Almhütte🏚. But rustic Almzimmer🦌, each lovingly decorated differently❣ with a breakfast 🧀🥖voll Allgäu specialties. Best of all, it is in the valley and everything is within easy walking distance. Arne, the boss is just great and can tell stories without end 👏👌
Rustic simple yet loving. Quaint rooms, good breakfast, nice host. Thanks a lot to Arne, we will be happy to come back.
Totally funny hotel. Josef the host is really nice and shows you everything. The beds are comfortable and clean. The breakfast in the morning leaves nothing to be desired. There were 2 bottles of local beer to say goodbye, where can you get that? I had forgotten my charging cable and without communicating it was 3 days later in my mailbox, really great! greetings
I was looking for an accommodation for 11 girls, because we had a JGA in Oberstdorf. Everyone was very satisfied. Friendly welcome by Josef, despite accent. He took care of everything. We were allowed to host ourselves with everything, which made the whole thing totally relaxed. You have a lot of faith in the guest. The shared bathrooms were no problem for everyone. Everything is clean and so beautifully done. The cow is in every detail. And tomorrow was just as perfect. We were greeted by Arne and entertained so much. Thank you also for your wise words. Breakfast was also unique. We will come back in any case. Thanks for the effort and the hospitality.
On incredible place with an incredible owner. This location offers some serious breathtaking rooms, the breakfast area is just sweet and the outdoor Garden is unique. The staff is very kind and attentive. it is perfect for families with small children as it offers endless fun for the little ones. I am hoping to be back here very very soon!
Fantastic guesthouse. Designed with great attention to detail. Every detail a small highlight !!!! Also very friendly staff. The breakfast is the highlight, very extensive and also prepared with love. The principle of the house is to give the flair and the informality of a mountain hut in an inn in the valley, according to the authentic owner. Absolutely successful !!!!!!
The journey was very easy. The check in went afloat. The staff was always approachable and very nice. The meal was delicious. The rooms were cozy and clean. The existing game room was designed with heart work. There is even a garden with sun loungers ready.
Rustic and cozy in a good location in Oberstdorf. Shared shower / toilet, clean and quiet. Rich breakfast. Simple rooms with wooden charm. Cozy.
Clean and a lot of love for the detail .. a bit overpriced. Rather an upscale hostel. But charming 😏😊
Stylishly styled, drink prices for the house guests are clearly too high
Room nicely furnished with a small balcony. Breakfast was ok as it was included in the price. For not hotel guests it costs 18 euros which is very expensive. Unfortunately, lunch and dinner are not possible. Unfortunately no summer train ticket including what is a shame because the Nebelhorn train is right next door and without ticket 35,50 Euro costs until the last station. Josef was very friendly and was really hard, which was not so easy because he was alone responsible for the whole house. According to the homepage there are darts, kickers etc which unfortunately we were not shown ... Double room without TV for 120 euros and sanitary facilities on the corridor, I think not cheap. For departure there was a house beer in the bottle for free.
Good little place, stayed with a friend for a weekend ski trip. Worth the price for sure! And the walk to downtown is less than 10 minutes.
